General
   This guide is intended for frequency of 50 Hz, voltage 6 ~ 35kV, AC power system reduction of harmonic content, and improve the power factor.
   In an ideal power system, power is transmitted by a single fixed frequency (50Hz or 60Hz), sine wave voltage and current delivered to the user. But if the impact of non-linear load or load, such as rectifier equipment, frequency conversion equipment, electric arc furnaces, electric railways and other access systems, will produce a large number of high harmonic currents cause system voltage and current waveform distortion, resulting in power system harmonics pollution of the power equipment and electrical equipment hazard. When the voltage distortion rate than the standard requirements, the ways will have to be taken to control harmonic filtering. High Voltage AC Filter is an economical and practical solution.
   High Voltage AC filter device mainly contains the following equipment: high voltage filter (parallel) capacitor, filter (in series) reactors, resistors, discharge coil, zinc oxide arrester, grounding switch, connecting wires, pillar insulator, cabinet or install the framework, fence. According to the needs of users, capacitor switching and protection devices can be included in the package delivery.
 
High voltage AC filter device can set the single tuning circuit with the characteristic harmonics and high-pass filter circuit with the high harmonics according to test inspection data.
High voltage AC filter devices based on its configuration, can double as the role of reactive power compensation.
High voltage filter capacitor, filter reactors, resistors are the main components of filter device to generate high harmonics of the low-impedance channels.
In parallel with the capacitor, the discharge coil directly used in capacitors, disconnected from the power grid, will be in the 5s reduced voltage between capacitor terminals down to 50V , the discharge coil can provide for the signal of secondary protection.          
Zinc-Oxide Arrester is mainly used to limit over-voltage switch.
   Grounding switch is mainly used to ground capacitor terminals when maintenance, to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel.
Cabinet, electric display device are mainly used to show the switching state of  devices, and to provide the determined conditions for the five anti-locking cabinet achievement.

Protection
The capacitor unit with internal fuse is suggested , no additional external fuse protection, capacity of a single capacitor selection should be as large as possible, which reduces the number of parallel units, to improve the sensitivity of relay protection.
Capacitor, such as with the internal fuse, ready to throw off the breakdown of the components to ensure the continued safe operation of the whole. Relay setting value is calculated according to well-cell voltage multiplier calculation is not more than 1.35. Device should be equipped with protection of an internal fault, over current, over voltage, loss of pressure and others.
